The End

Partners in Time will be quitting its posts for now. We have a had a lot of fun, but this blog has fulfilled its purposes, and it’s time to move on. We have other adventures we will be embarking on! Who knows where life will take us, if we’ll ever get back to this blog in the future, but we know that no matter what, we’ll continue to be “partners in time,” helping each other through this journey called life! And we can’t wait to see what the future holds! :)

England: Cambridge! Stopping at our favorite Tram Express downtown for the best jacket potatoes (or baked potatoes) ever!

St. George, Utah: The next day we went to a small dinosaur museum to learn about the tracks we saw. Here are pictures of the dinosaurs they belonged to and another picture of us with more tracks. They are all over down there! It’s so neat! (If you click on the pictures, you’ll be able to see the tracks and dinosaurs better.)

This is the smaller of the dinosaurs. We forgot to write down its name.

The larger of the dinosaur tracks we saw.

England: Riding in a double decker bus!

Flat Stan is standing on one of the tracks!

This is a close-up of the track! It's small!

St. George, Utah: Flat Stan’s all-time favorite part of the whole trip was hiking to see real-life dinosaur tracks! Did you know that dinosaurs used to live in Utah?! These are tracks from the dinosaurs that used to live there. They are all over the trails down there; the scientists are always finding new ones. It was so cool!!

Here are some bigger tracks. You can see one next to the boy and one behind him.

This should give you an idea of how big this track was--as big as Flat Stan!!!

England:  We made playdough today and played with it. Love that. We made blue and purple.

St. George, Utah: We saw these trees on our trip. They’re a little different than where Flat Stan is from so he asked us about them. They’re called palm trees. Aren’t they cool?! He just had to take a picture with one!

England: Today we went to Market Day at the school where the fourth graders raise money to buy goats for children in Africa.  It was so much fun. The kids loved getting their faces painted!

Utah: We got to go on a road trip! We went with the grandparents to St. George, where it was warm and sunny! Here we are ready to go in the car. We watched movies, played with toys, and colored in new coloring books.

England:  Making Easter sugar cookies together.

Utah: We got to take Flat Stan on spring break with us! We spent quite a few days swimming! We provided him with a swimsuit and towel because he forgot to pack one! Way too much fun!

England:  We took Flat Fairy Girl and Flat Bionical to the park near our house, along with our neighbor friend. They both enjoyed the swings. :)

Utah: We celebrated Dad’s birthday with dinner at Olive Garden! Flat Stan had salad and breadsticks just like the other kids–no spaghetti for them! He said it was really yummy!

Flat Stanley (picture book edition)

Have you ever read Flat Stanley? It’s about a boy who gets flattened by his bulletin board one night while sleeping. Being flat brings all sorts of fun adventures for him!

We decided to do a Flat Stanley project with our kids. Our children made a “Flat Stanley” and mailed them to each other. Flat Stanley will now come along with each family, participating in our lives for the next couple of weeks. We will be documenting what we are doing these next couple of weeks using Stanley in our pictures.

We hope you enjoy this project as much as we are!

England: At the post office. Our Stanley is packed and ready to go to Utah!

Utah: The send-off! Our Flat Stanleys are headed to England!!

England, 9:05 PM: Apple Cinnamon Cheerios

Utah: Playing in our green sandbox with green camo shorts and our grass beginning to turn green!

England, 10:30 AM:  This may not look very green, but the outside of this double decker bus was completely green. This was the green line park and ride into Cambridge.

Utah: Street sign
